The Friends of the Canton Library are very pleased to announce that we will be holding two Holiday Fundraisers starting on Monday, Nov. 29!
THE HOLIDAY BOOK SALE will start on Tuesday, Nov. 30 in the Lobby area of the Library. Come do some easy shopping for gently used fiction, nonfiction and children’s books at bargain prices. The sale runs through the first week of January during normal Library hours.
THE HOLIDAY COOKIE PLATTER SALE RETURNS! Two pound, festively wrapped platters of home baked holiday treats are $15 and can be ordered and prepaid at the Circulation Desk or order online here! Supplies are limited, so pre-ordering is highly recommended!
WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
- Cookie bakers needed! Please consider helping make our sale a success by baking a batch (or more) of your favorite holiday cookies. No jam bars please. Dropoff is on Thursday, Dec. 16 from 10am-8pm in Room E of the Community Center. If you need home pick up, send us an email and we will arrange it for you. Sign up here.
- Volunteer to accept cookies at drop-off: Volunteers are needed to accept the cookie platters on Thursday, Dec. 16 from 10am-8pm. One-hour shifts (unless you’d like to sign up for two!). Bring a book or a friend! Sign up here.
- Platter assembly: Join us for a fun afternoon to assemble the platters on Friday, Dec. 17. Sign up here.
- Platter pickup: Volunteers are needed to take and verify receipts; hand out pre-paid platters; handle the purchase of extra platters and help people take multiple platters to their cars. This will take place at the Senior Center. Sign up here.
The Friends of the Canton Library are pleased to announce that we were able to donate $20k to the Library thanks to a very successful Membership Campaign. Our Canton community really stepped up during a year when we were unable to hold our usual fundraisers.
Our Book Sale Kiosk is open once again in the Library. Stop by and browse our selection of gently used adult and children’s books at bargain prices.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing pandemic, we made the difficult to decision to cancel the Fall Book Sale, which is the biggest fundraiser for the library each year.
As such, we will not be accepting book donations this summer and ask that the community not leave books at the library. We are hoping to announce smaller scale book sales in the coming months.
